Coz I am also a dance student of a classical dance which requires a lot of energy + eye movement + neck movement + and freaking every part of body movement(but you can't sing a song or do lip sync. The only thing you should do is keep smile or express various expression)....

When Jimin said “I was nowhere near that” my heart shattered a little. Jimin may not see it but he was back then and still is a phenomenal dancer. The way he's able to evoke emotion with his fluid yet powerful motions he never fails to leave me breathless.

Well I think it's just a matter of practice and refining the technique. I think jimin knows exactly how good he is, he was top student after all. And when yoongi said if you had kept up with your dancing you could be at this level, jimin immediately said , "well yeah". Lol. He knows he's got the talent. We all see what he does at awards shows and such. But to be at the level of a pro CONTEMPORARY dancer requires years if consistant and dedicated practice and performance in THAT field. Jimin's career went a different course. 😊Thankfully for us bc we get to see him shine as he is now and its phenomenal 😉

Yoongi was open mouthed the whole time--- you can really see his appreciation for all kinds of art in these kind of videos. Namjoon sometimes even gasped at the moves and made guesses as to what the dancers were portraying- you can really his point of view and way of thinking, and how much he appreciates intellectual consideration. Jungkook observed the whole video without a word and never took his eyes off screen- you can tell jungkook has always had an eye for beauty, and that he always take an oppurtunity to learn, I wouldn't be surprised if he tried out some of the moves he saw in the video. Jin did the same as jungkook ---- they really are alike aren't they? Hobi payed attention the whole time---- even though this isn't his type of dance, you can tell he analysing it the whole time and how it correlates with the music, he's very detailed. Jimin appreciated the video and we really see his dancer side come out in some of thee words he says- he compliments on how the dancers have the very fit and very detailed movement that good dancers have, his favorite dance is contemporary dance and you can he appreciates a contemporary dance for black swan. Tae was paying close attention the whole time and pointed out that jungkook would like this type of video-- Tae is always thinking of his members, and you can tell the dance made him think of jungkook, his consideration is endless. 🖤🖤🖤

I love seeing Jimin's reaction. Not that he was reacting a lot but you could see him drawn to the video, you know that he's had a long journey with dance and he still has so much in front of him. And I agree with Yoongi, Jimin CAN do it. He's immensely talented and passionate.

Watching Jimin’s sweet face as he was swept up in awe the whole time made me kind of emotional. You can practically feel how he was engaged with it and watching the dancers discerningly-“every muscle is in motion.”

Jiminie made people tear up with his performance at MMA, he can definitely express those emotions if he dances to this/like this. Of course MN are professional dancers and noone can dublicate what they did, because they interpreted the song as outsiders, but I think Jimin would do an outstanding job just like them interpreting the dance as a part of BTS! It would be so incredibly beautiful if he would dance to this Black Swan version with his contemporary dance interpretation. He would definitely be able to capture the emotions and hearts of many people. I really wish we could get a Jimin version!

I am watching this again in November 2020. Even though JiMin stated he is not close to the skill set of the dancers he still did amazing in the concert. His version of black swan was moving. Loud applause to the hard work JiMin put in for not just the group work and his solo but this black swan work too. I don’t think a lot of people truly appreciate the level of dedication it takes to deliver the performance he presented to ARMY in the concert, as well as everything else that was going on. I am not trying to take anything from the other members. I am just in awe of JiMin’s efforts with this album and imagining what we would have seen if the pandemic had not happened.

This was more contemporary, Jimin has trained in this form before that's because they were talking about him. They are both very good dancers. Everyone recognises Hobi as dancing machine and our dance leader, don't worry about that. True Army's love our sunshine. ❤️

When Hoseok said he doesn’t know much about dance, he used the Korean word for traditional/classical dance. It makes sense he would say that, as he focused on hip-hop like tutting, popping, etc. while Jimin trained in contemporary Edit: Don't worry guys, I know full well how talented Jimin is ;) he was a trainee for only a year (an insanely short amount of time) and had to pick up an entirely new skillset, which he did incredibly well. He's now well-versed in street dance, just like Hobi. Edit 2: Guys, I'm seriously going to delete my comment if this continues, it's ridiculous. I've been an ARMY since Wings and have heard Jimin talk about his dance history. I obviously never meant anything against Hobi or Jimin. It's insane how some people will take a normal comment and twist it to be some sort of attack. Jimin used to dance popping, since 8th grade (13 years old). After that he moved to Busan High School of Arts in the modern department, doing it for 4 years (14-17). He was one of the top students and is clearly very talented. He performed so well, in fact, that his dance teacher paid for his formal education, as he was unable to afford it himself. He became a trainee for a year (17-18) before debuting (18) despite the fact that his teachers wanted him to continue a classical education (not become an idol). So he already had some knowledge of street dance, but it had been years since he touched hip-hop. That makes his grasp of street dance skills even more impressive. Don't doubt my knowledge of Jimin's training. I did the math. If you have a problem with that, it's not the facts' fault.

Right, there are lots of different kinds of dance, and what was demonstrated in the Black Swan video is more of a mixture of Modern Interpretive Dance and Ballet or "Stage Dancing." When Professionals talk about dance they typically split styles like this and what BTS does, which is considered "Street Dancing" into two broad categories, which then of course break down into much smaller and more specific genres. The types come from where they originated or where the styles were formed. Jimin has a lot of education now in both types whereas J-Hope feels he only really understands "Street Dancing" but that definitely doesn't make him inferior.

some of y’all truly don’t know jimin at all. he has experience in so many styles of dance (hip hop, popping, contemporary, traditional korean) he had to revert his knowledge of contemporary to fit bts’ hip hop style in just 6 months which is extremely hard to do. he is a prodigy. Jimin started from popping and Street dance too. He did contemporary for a comparatively less time period but still he excels in everything.

When the dancer descents down the stairs, is it like him going deep down into his subconscious? Like on the surface he thinks he has rid himself from his shadows by running away but they still lurk deep down in his mind. And unless he fights it and learns to accept it, they will always be there. ( He later gathers a grasp on his shadows and finally accepting all that he is , the darkness included he can finally take flight)
