Jin's words about taking one's time because following someone else's pace will make you breathless really resonated with me back then. I felt I was falling behind in mi major and was getting desperate while watching others. I decided to listen to him and took my time, I used to fail constantly because I took more classes than I could handle. When I started taking it easier I noticed how much better it was for me, didn't fail a single subject after that. I am now less than two months away from becoming an electrical engineer, so thank you, Seokjin. Time and time again I'm reminded why you're my ultimate bias

*Jin:* It's Jin of BTS. My memory of graduation is a little different. It was before my debut as BTS. I was around 20, just a high school graduate going to university. Back then, the nation of becoming an adult was something quite scary. Anxious about making my way into an unfamiliar world. I was cautious of everything I said or did. Sometimes, I'd feel restless, watching my friends go far ahead of me. An attempting to keep up with their speed would only leave me breatheless. I soon realised that their pace was not on my own. What held me together those times was a promise I made myself: 'To take it slow'. I'd go at my own pace, steadily. From then on, it became a habit of mine to take extra time for myself. For instance, when we learning choreography. I began practice days earlier than the others do. If any of you feels lost in the face of doubt or uncertainty or the pressure of starting anew, don't rush. Take a deep breath. You may find that any moment can be turned into opportunity. Jin's words are so incredibly powerful and profound. All of their messages were from the heart and were truthful to who we perceive them to be, that is, just wonderful human beings. But when the torment come to pass, the seemingly simplest message can be finally heard, in this case Jin's. I truly admire him, as I do with all the other members. We need to treasure them. Yes.. those words really hit me hard.. I could relate to him. Not all of us have been gifted with talents since our childhood; many of us have to search for that calling within ourselves and that sometimes might even take years for us to even recognize, while we may have already set oursleves in some other unsure path. In my mid twenties, preparing for entrance exams since last year, I am not even sure how and where will I end up. But I believe this that I am going at own pace, regardless of the people surrounding me and sooner or later, I'll end up somewhere hopefully decent. Lets just take a deep breathe. And continue our journeys one step at a time. 🌼

I CAN’T BELIEVE I JUST FOUND THIS!!! I graduated in 2020 and I didn’t get to have a graduation or anything I finished the last exam and that was it. No fanfair. And I felt so alone and depressed I didn’t get to feel that I accomplished anything. Jin's speech seriously was needed. His words reassured me, I am always so worried about how I compare to others and why I am falling back. Similar to Jin I also have o study a week earlier than others and prepare myself for my exams. I'm always bothered on how I am not catching up and how I have to do more than my peers to be on the same path. J-hopes speech also hit me when he said "I decided to trust myself", when he states that there are times in life that you will question your own decisions, I have done this so many times. Suga, says "take your hands off of what you can't control and get your hands on what you can change", from the beginning of high school to now I have so many regrets but those decisions are in the past I can't change it so regretting won't do anything but bring me down. Instead I should remember them as a lesson and next time not do the same mistake or take it into an understanding point of view and acknowledge it, accept it, and move forward in life. Thank you Jin, thank you Jhope, thank you Suga, thank you BTS. This was truly heart touching and reassuring for all of us.

Wherever you are, you will all soon be breaking out of one world to soar into another. Ten years ago, it snowed really hard on the day of my middle school graduation. On that day, I was just a boy who had closed just one chapter, ready to pen another. And I remember that feeling, it’s really thrilling, breathtaking, it was the moment I felt most like me myself, a feeling I wanted to hold onto forever. So, as a fellow individual in his 20s all the way from Seoul, Korea, I want to say congratulations. We’re very excited for what lies ahead of you. Regardless of where or how far you are, we hope our stories today can give you some sort of comfort, hope, and maybe even a bit of inspiration.

It was my award ceremony today for grade 10 and it may not seem like a big deal but my parents didn't come for it. They weren't working and were at home and didn't come for my awards. I saw everyone run to their parents and be embraced by their parents and I felt stupid. I had no one to run to. But I did have a friend who stayed by my side and thanks to that, I didn't shed a tear then. But when I did, I had a friend who made me laugh the tears away. When I got back home, I had a little cake, lit up a candle and proceeded to listen to all of BTS. Thank you. You have succeeded in making my heart feel lighter and for burning the spark of my motivation brighter. Jin’s words “I should be at my own pace,” was very dear to me. When I was in my freshman of college, I was very sure that I will graduate on time together with my friends, but I had to stop one semester because of my depression, and after 6 months of taking care of my mental health, I realized that I should not be worried if I graduate late. I am at my own pace, I should wait patiently and move forward steadily, and now I am a graduating student and already have a stable work. It was all worth it.

Whoa, Jin, Suga and J-hope had some really powerful messages here. Everyone shared something really meaningful here, but these three seemed to really speak from their adult perspective on what younger people need to hear as they walk into the beginning of adult life. Even many adults need to hear these messages. I also really liked V's message. I have a kid who had a 'slow start' in life, and as a parent you worry. You want your children to have the world open up to them when they grow up, and worry something will block that. It made me smile to hear him share his message. Over a year later, I hope everyone's doing ok. It's been a very tough time, especially for young people. Please believe us older people when we say you can do this, just hold on, this time WILL pass. You matter and the world needs you.

Jin’s words really helped me because I’ve felt behind all my life. Even now, I’m graduating to transfer to a university with an associates degree, but it’s my third year in college because I switched my major. Jin telling me it’s okay to go at my own pace helped so much.

I showed Taehyung's speech to my nephew who is autistic and he immediately clapped when taehyung made the ASL for clapping, he's taking special asl classes at his school and he goes to special ed school, I didnt know until my nephew reacted and my heart soared. My respect for Tae just went off the roof he is so thoughtful I dont think I'll ever love someone as much as I love his beautiful heart. Taehyung truly is one in a million.

All of their messages hit hard. I know this is 1year ago, but their messages will continue to be relevant, deep and relatable. Jhope's message of not giving up, Jin's message of finding and respecting your own pace, V's message of finding passion and joy in your chosen field, Suga's words that the only thing we can control is ourselves...these all resonate with me. I love how wise and grounded they are. Thank you Bangtan boys!

Am I the only one watching this in 2021? These men are so special. RM's story about his own graduation, Jimin's unbelievably kind words, Suga's reminder to let go of what we cannot control.. all their speeches so thoughtful and most of all hopeful (I'm looking at you J-Hope!). I don't care that I am a 55 year old army. These young men are amazing and a great influence to our youth. that was so important, because it’s a message that is so easy to forget as life moves on; and we develop anxieties, stay in abusive/toxic relationships, trapped in jobs we hate, or simply living someone else’s dream. “We are the leaders of our own lives” is a statement that step by step reclaims that power, and makes us remember our hope haha.

Jin’s personal advice really hit me deep. I used to look down on myself and think I was incompetent and untalented because i could not learn things as fast as other people. Then i realized over time that everyone has their own pace and that sometimes you have to just breath and meditate and take things slow. This is why i love these guys so much. They taught me how to love my imperfections and my flaws and that i am amazing the way I am, but also to reach for the stars even when the sky seems unclear. Army for life🙏🏿💜💜💜

Me too! I’ve always felt this way with school especially. Though I do well, it takes me ten times longer to do things compared to my friends, who encouraged me to challenge myself and take harder classes with them. One of my best friends is even valedictorian this year, and although she has always supported and confided in me, at the back of my mind I always felt like I was in her shadow. But as I move on past high school I realize that I have to do things for myself, without comparing myself to or being overly influenced by other people. I have to take things at my own pace and choose opportunities that will best fit my needs. It’s important to take control of your own life, as Yoongi said. That is the only way we, as individuals, can thrive.

Congratulations BTS on receiving your Diplomatic passports and Korean Merit Presidential awards for your positive influence in the community and supporting charitable works in the betterment of deprived life’s in the world we live in. Jin’s speech really touched me in a way and perfectly described my life and personality that I can somehow relate to. I am proud to have been a Fan of BTS since the year they debuted in 2013 June. I knew back than BTS will be one day influence a lot of people, grow successfully and gain recognition for their talents. BTS has broken music records, produce well written music with its unique life story that has touched millions and has a fan base that can literally start a country on its own lol.

How should i trust my self

Class of 2021 army here, watching this the night before I graduate high school. Whenever I feel lost, or down, I always come to this video. Not me watching this literally when I’m having a mental breakdown about my life , my grade ,my med school entrance exam , my health which is worse and my broken family .This video really brought me some comfort💜I wish everything goes well 🤞🏻😔

I’ve seen many comments similar to what I’m about to write but I guess I just want to add to the overall sentiment. This speech is timeless, universal, and so incredibly comforting. I experienced what I initially saw as a setback at work today, but my mom (also an ARMY) reminded me of Jin’s words. That other people’s pace is not my own.
